  • 2019, Prešeren Price, the most prestigious cultural price of the Republic of Slovenia for his extraordinary achievements in the last three years for his operas »Ada« and »Antigona» and for »Concerto for  2 violins and orchestra«

 

PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITY

  • Member of the Slovene Composers Association and of following associations of composers in Austria: »Östrerreichischer Komponistenbund», »Österreichische Gesellschaft für Neue Musik», Internationale Gesellschaft für Ekmelische Musik, Salzburg, »Internationale Gesellschaft für Neue Musik», Austrian section, KIBU, Association of Composers and Interprets, Burgenland, member of Slovene Chamber Music Theatre etc.
  • Cooperation with festivals as »Carinthischer Sommer», in 2020 he acted there as the central composer figure, further with »Slovene Music Days«, »Carpe artem», with ensembles and institutions as »Ensemble Reconsil», » Kamerata Kiew«, » Metropolitan Chamber Orchestra Vienna«, Vienna, »Slovene Radio Orchestra«, »Slovene Philhatmonicm Orchestra«, »Maribor Philharmonic Orchestra«, »Slovene Chamber Music Theatre«, »Hortus musicus», »Slowind», »Ljubljana quartett«, »Quartett Feguš», with conductors Vinicius Kattah, Lovrenc Arnič, Milivoj Šurbek, Uroš Lajovic, Valeri Matyukhin, Wolfgang Schmid, Simon Krečič, Simon Robinson, Simon Dvoršak, Živa Ploj and with soloists Lalita Svete, Arkadi Winokurow, Peter Kopač, Eszter Haffner,  Katja Konvalinka, Irena Yebuah, Klemen Torkar, Barbara Sorč, Anton Habjan, Rok Bavčar, Tajda Jovanović, Darko Vidic, Urška Arlič Gololičič,  Metod Žunec, Alfonz Kodrič, Hitomi Akiyama, Adriana Magdovska, Tomaž Sever, Andrej Petrač,  Zoran Marković, Nikolaj Sajko, Mateja Kremljak, Rostislav Denisjuk, Slavko Kovačič, Vladimir Mlinarić  and Žarko Ignjatović.
  • Autor of the articles in  symposiums like »Ways and side ways of the Contemporary Slovene Opera Creativity«, Symposium, Slovene Music Days, 2018, »Tragical Longing in the Works of Ivan Cankar as Motivation for the Origin of Musical Creations«, Slovene Academy of science and Arts, SAZU, Ljubljana.
  • As music criticism he contributed also the assesment according to the concert of the 6th Symphonic Cycle of the Opera Maribor, 6.2019 and according toh 1st performance of the opera »Marpurgi« of Nina Šenk, 6.10.2020.

 

 Jury member

  • » Franz Schubert Wettbewerb«, Graz, Austria, University of the Arts in Graz, member of the jury in the composition competition in the piano trio category, 2006.
  • In 1988-1990 he lectured composition at the ”Karl Prayner” Conervatory in Vienna, Austria.
  • In the winter semester, as part of the Fullbright exchange program, he lectured as a visiting professor of composition, at the University of Hartford, USA.
