SUMMARY
In the Generative UI in Education project, we focused on student-centered learning and teaching. The main goal of the project is to study, plan, and apply guidelines for the meaningful use of GUI in learning and teaching to support the achievement of learning objectives. The theoretical foundation of the project is based on two established models in education:
the TPACK model, which guides teachers toward a didactically meaningful approach and the selection of appropriate technology that complements and supports the learning and teaching process, and
the SAMR model, which enables the assessment of the degree or quality of technology use (in this case, artificial intelligence) in the learning and teaching process, reflecting on its added value in achieving content and process goals and student competencies.
The purpose of the project “GENERATIVE ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN EDUCATION” is to contribute to the comprehensive, sensible, and effective use of generative artificial intelligence in the educational process at various levels by integrating three areas: researching the field of GUI, testing pedagogical approaches related to GUI, and identifying relevant content and applications (with GUI) that can support both teachers and students in the teaching and learning process.
The project is co-financed by the Ministry of Education and Science (MVI) and the Recovery and Resilience Plan (NextGenerationEU).
The objective of the project “GENERATIVE ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN EDUCATION” is to examine, together with consortium partners, the impact of generative artificial intelligence on the perception and transformation of learning and teaching from the perspective of various stakeholders.

PROJECT RESULTS
To explore the significance of GUI on the perception and transformation of learning and teaching from the perspective of various stakeholders, considering the didactic, legal, financial, and ethical aspects of GUI use in education in Slovenia.
To analyze the status and needs of VIZ for the rational and effective use of GUI in the education and training process in Slovenia.
To prepare and test initial guidelines for the rational and effective use of GUI for modern learning and teaching by teachers and students.
To prepare, implement, and evaluate sample teaching scenarios in the field of AI use in selected educational institutions.
To prepare guidelines for the effective and efficient use of AI in education.
Target groups in the Generative Artificial Intelligence in Education project include pupils, students, and participants in adult education, as well as professional and management staff in educational institutions, public institutions for adult education, providers of continuing professional training for professional and managerial staff in VIZ, researchers in the field of education, and education policy makers.
