The aim of the project “Modernization of Pedagogical Study Programs – Modernization of PŠP NOO” is to equip future education and training professionals with the skills needed to address current and future challenges. The project focuses on strengthening digital competencies and competencies for sustainable development.

The PŠP NOO Modernization project is co-financed by the Ministry of Education and Science (MVI) and the European Commission (NextGenerationEU). The maximum approved funding for the project is EUR 1,990,000.00, provided through the Recovery and Resilience Facility (PP 221170 [C3K12IE – Comprehensive Transformation of Green and Digital Education-NOO-MIZŠ-MVI]).

The general objective of the project “Modernization of PŠP NOO” is to contribute, together with consortium partners, to the preparation of a proposal for the modernization of pedagogical study programs for further education, focusing on strengthening digital development competencies and competencies for sustainable development.

Specific objectives of the project “Modernization of PŠP NOO” include:
– Preparation, implementation, and evaluation of at least 92 pilot projects based on a comprehensive competency framework developed within the project;
– Preparation of expert bases and systemic recommendations for various stakeholders on the modernization of pedagogical study programs at different levels;
– Dissemination of information to the professional and wider public about the content and purpose of the Modernization of PŠP NOO project, including the organization of focus discussions and broader consultations.

Planned core activities in the project:
– Development of a competency framework for future pedagogical workers
– Analysis of existing teacher training study programs
– Planning, preparation, implementation, and evaluation of at least 92 pilot projects
– Preparation of expert bases and systemic recommendations for various stakeholders on the modernization of teacher training study programs
– Dissemination of information to the professional and wider public

The impact of the project will be reflected in the proposal for 60 modernized teacher training study programs for degree attainment and 3 teacher training study programs for further training, aimed at strengthening competencies essential for addressing current and future challenges, with an emphasis on digital competencies and competencies for sustainable development.

The target groups in the Modernization of PŠP NOO project are higher education teachers in pedagogical study programs, students of pedagogical study programs, pedagogical workers in primary and secondary education, adult education, and non-formal education.
