The aim of the project is to explore the possibilities of creating a web application that offers a diverse selection and direct playback of high-quality audiovisual music content from Slovenian and international music creators and performers, available on various platforms. It is intended for music teachers in primary schools (grades 1–9) and educators of children aged 4–6 in kindergartens. The interdisciplinary design of the project enables the transfer of knowledge, practical experience, and the strengthening of cooperation among students from different subject areas (Preschool Education, Classroom Teaching, Music Education, Computer Science, and Information Technology), higher education institutions, and the professional environment.
To address social challenges in local and global contexts, it is necessary to ensure the development of active, responsible, and creative citizens at all levels of education. Music plays an important role in this, as it enables students to actively participate in the learning process, including through listening to music. This is often achieved with the help of audiovisual content, which can present teachers with challenges such as interruptions to recordings due to advertising and a lack of time to find suitable, high-quality audiovisual material. The use of a web application could facilitate access to high-quality audiovisual content and positively impact the smooth running of the teaching process in music education.
The web application is presented below.
