International expert conference
“Synergies of Literacy in Artificial Intelligence Systems and Social and Emotional Learning in Education”
On Thursday, 4 April 2024, the Faculty of Education of the University of Maribor organised an international expert conference, which represented the final event of the project »SETCOM – Supportive Environments to Enhance Transversal Competencies in Education«.
The final international conference of the SETCOM project brought together leading experts from the fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Social and Emotional Learning (SEL), focusing on the integration of technological literacy with social and emotional competences in education.
Nine research papers and eight good practice examples showcased innovative approaches and successes in the field of AI and SEL, including the outstanding achievements of the winners of the AI & SEL/360° competition and the contributions of the project partners.
The conference also announced that the sustainability of the SETCOM project will be ensured by the establishment of the SETCOM Centre of Excellence, which is already successfully operational and will continue to serve as a hub for research, development, and education in the field of AI & SEL.
