The project developed four main areas: reading literacy and the development of the Slovenian language (the language of instruction, reducing gender disparities, vulnerable groups, motivation for reading), devices for identifying the level of literacy in preschool and in the 2nd and 3rd grades of elementary school, Slovenian as a second language (for immigrants, refugees, Roma, and children using sign language) and a school library. The goal of the project is to develop and test pedagogical approaches and strategies that will contribute to the holistic and continuous vertical development of reading literacy for children, students and students.
