The Faculty of Education of the University of Maribor wants to maintain a high level of education for primary school teachers, teachers of music and fine arts, inclusive educators, pre-school teachers and sports coaches. With excellency in research and artistic work it will, in the regional context and more broadly, permanently ensure development in education and represent the institution with the highest ethical and moral standards of operation, seeking to implement the principles of a democratic society.
The mission of the Faculty of Education of the University of Maribor is to integrate educational, research and artistic work in the field of education for development of teachers and contribution to the development of professional fields, scientific disciplines and artistic activities in the national and international environment.
The Faculty of Education strategy is based on the strategy of the University of Maribor, which is aligned with the National Higher Education Program for Education and other documents of the Republic of Slovenia. The strategy shall be kept up to date in accordance with the documents adopted by the Faculty of Education and the University of Maribor.
